He was a Sociology student at Concepción University. He was married and had a baby son. At the time of his arrest he was 22 years old and an active member of the Student Union.

He was arrested at his home in Santiago the 17th September 1974 by the secret police DINA. His family was reassured that the law was obeyed in Chile and that they could be sure that they would find him at the police station next day. Since that night the family never saw him again.

Despite the numerous letters written to the government, his arrest was denied and so, therefore, the habeas corpus. In November 1983, the Amnesty Law was applied and the case is now in the Military Court.

Both his parents are dead now. Despite their long search, they never received a satisfactory answer about the fate of their son; neither from the government nor from the Chilean Civilian Court.
